Animation Art Show 2016 - Growing Up Fast


Here is my piece for the 2016 Animation art show. 

The Animation Art Show is an exhibition and auction in aid of Irish Children's charities and is fast becoming one of the biggest animation events in Ireland. It was first created in 2011 with the purpose of tapping into the bubbling creativity emerging from the fast growing animation industry in Ireland. 

All artwork is kindly donated by animation professionals and students and showcases a wide range of mediums including painting, print, sculpture, plush toys, animation cels and more! The small team of volunteers have now raised over €40,000 since the first public event. Not only does it give animation artists a platform to showcase their personal work but every single cent raised goes to charity.

My piece in a continuation of the theme from the last two shows. 2014 and 2013 The Aardvark/Bears are based on my children Robin 2 1/2 and Obi 1 1/2. And each year follows their growth. The Image is based on the following photograph:



As with previous years all preliminary drawings will be included with the finished piece. If you are interested in bidding on this drawing or anyone of the other fantastic pieces to help raise much needed funds for two fantastic charities the Exhibition take place April 9-10 and 16-17 in the Ark Temple Bar, Dublin, closing with an auction on April 17th
